The Dave Fons Memorial Fund is proud to announce that we have recently expanded our scholarship program to include trucking school applicants. We are presently offering scholarships to select individuals attending the Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA) CDL Training Program. Trucking Education Scholarships
Scholarship Criteria
The Dave Fons Memorial Fund Trucking Education Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants attending FTBA’s CDL Training Program.
- Agree to make a good faith effort to complete the training program, obtain a CDL, and accept employment as a driver
- Agree to make a good faith effort to be adherent to best safety practices and procedures
- Agree to make a good faith effort to continue supplemental truck safety education if the opportunity presents itself throughout their career
- Demonstrate a need for the scholarship
- Have completed all enrollment steps required by FTBA CDL Training
